Job Responsibilities:

The position calls for a person who is an organized self-starter. You will work closely with attorneys but will not be micromanaged. You will be asked to:

• Support attorneys representing clients in court.

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings and discovery.

• Maintain accurate files and track deadlines.

• Interview clients and witnesses.

 

Full time paralegals can expect to work about 40 hours a week.

Part time paralegals can expect to work about 20-25 hours a week.

Qualifications:

• A demonstrated interest in economic, social, and racial justice is desirable.

• At least 2 years of prior experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting.

• Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and oral, is highly desirable.

Compensation

• Full time: $64,200 annual salary.

• Part time: $32.10/hour

Remote work options:

We are happy to hire outside of Austin. Our staff began working fully-remotely when the COVID pandemic began. That has worked very well for us, and we have no plans to end that flexibility.
